Swartz Creek
The JV Eagles got in a hole early falling behind 24-10 in the first half. Isabel Wright led the girls with 10 points followed by Avery Whttens 6 points. Taylor Acox, Alaina Bradley, Eva Darling and Haley Harp all added 2 points. The girls never stopped fighting and really played good defense against a good JV team.
Brandon
The JV Eagles played inspired basketball on Friday night and hung with the best team in the Metro at the JV level until a spurt by Brandon opened it up towards the end. Eva Darling and Isabel Wright were a combined 13 for 13 from the free throw line. Eva finished with 12 points and Isabel contributed 7. Taylor Acox continued her impressive defensive play with 9 steals and 3 points. Alaina Bradley and Avery Whitten closed out the scoring with 2 and 1 points respectively.
Troy Athens
Cold shooting doomed the JV Eagles against Troy Athens on Monday 43 to 22. The Eagles got some great minutes out of Carley Germain. Carley was 2 for 2 from the free throw line and contributed some key rebounds. Isabel Wright finished with 7 points to lead the Lady Eagles. Avery Whitten finished with 6. Eva Darling and Lilly Sturgis added 3 points each. The Lady Eagles travel to Swartz Creek on Friday.
Kearsley
With the game tied at 22 each with 4 minutes to go, Eva Darling scored the last 6 points of the game and helped lead the Linden JV Eagles to a 28 to 25 win vs. Flint Kearsley. Taylor Acox played amazing defense which included a steal with 9 seconds left to seal the victory. The trio of Alaina Bradley, Hayley Harp and Avery Whitten played a strong game handling the ball. Eva led the team with 12 points, followed by Avery with 7. Alaina, Taylor and Isabel Wright all added 3 points each. Isabel also contributed by leading the team in rebounding. It was a hard fought win for the girls!
Holly
The JV Eagles battled hard against Holly, but fell short in the end. They overcame Maddie Smith breaking her hand in the first half and got to within 20 to 18 with about 4 minutes to go. From there Holly outscored them 9 to 4 to beat Linden 29-22. Eva Darling led the team in scoring with 6. Also scoring were Taylor Acox with 5, Isabel Wright with 4, Maddie Smith, Alaina Bradley and Hayley Harp with 2 and Avery Whitten scored 1.
Flushing
Linden jv girls lost 46 to 12 Tuesday night against Flushing. Flushing started off in a strong press ending the first quarter 18-0. Eva Darling got the Eagles on the board with her free throw and from there Isabel Wright made 7 points and Madddie Smith ended with 2. Carly Germain turned our attitudes around and played a great thrid and fourth quarter and we ended the game stronger than we started.
Kearsley
The JV girls lost a tough battle vs Kearsley Tuesday night. The game was close the whole way through. Kearsley's tough press eventually got the best of us ending the game at 27-19. Isabel Wright and Eva Darling led us in points for the night Isabel ended with 6 Eva had 7. We had some great defensive plays made by Taylor Acox and Avery Whitten. The girls will continue to improve and move on to the next game on Friday vs Clio.
Fenton
The Linden JV girls lost a tough one to Fenton 30 to 20. The girls played an excellent first half and led 15 to 10 at the break. Linden broke the press in the first half very well, but the Fenton defense caused some quick turnovers to start the second half. The Linden girls played great defense led by Alaina Bradleys two big blocks!! Maddie Smith led the team with 5 points. The girls play next at Flint Kearsley.
Goodrich
The Linden Girls JV Basketball team was lead by Isabel Wright's Season High 15 points to defeat Goodrich 45-27! The Lady Eagles showed tremendous aggressiveness, especially on the defensive end. Leading 18 to 14 at halftime, Linden outscored Goodrich 19 to 8 in the third quarter thanks to great defensive play by Alaina Bradley, Haley Harp, Taylor Acox, and Carly Germain! The Eagles rebounded well all night long lead by Isabel Wright and Maddie Smith. Avery Whitten and Eva Darling both chipped in with 10 points. Maddie Smith scored 7 and Lily Sturgis added 3. It was a great team effort.
Holly
Linden JV girls fall to Holly 38-31..
Linden went in at the half with a 19-17 lead, but couldn't hold on as Holly rallied in the 2nd half. The girls came out very strong in the first half and exacuted their offensive plays very well! We are becoming more aggressive and learning to be strong with the ball and it showed in the first half.Unfortunately Holly started to do a full court press in the second half and we were unable to continue to run our plays as smoothly and we ended up losing the game by 8 points. Isabel Wright scored 9 and had 7 rebounds to lead Linden. Maddie Smith and Eva Darling each had 6. Haley Harp added 5 points, Avery Whitten had 4 points and 5 assists and Taylor Acox rounded out the scoring with 1 point.
Clio
JV girls lost to Clio 29-25. Isabel Wright had 10 points, Eva Darling had 7 Avery Whitten had 6 and Lilly Sturgis had 2.
Fenton
Linden JV girls played tough, but dropped a close one on the road 39-46 at Fenton. Bella Blank had 21 points for the Eagles to lead the scoring. Madison Paige had 7, Taylor Stoolmaker with 6 and Breyanna Turnipseed had 5.
Kearsley
The Eagle JV girls defeated Kearlsley 48-15 on Tuesday night on the road. Bella Blank was the high scorer with 21 points and Taylor Stoolmaker followed with 11. Both Karley Kraus and Madison Paige had 7 for Linden.
Lake Orion
The Eagles lost 24-52 at Lake Orion in a non-league match up on Tuesday night. Taylor Stoolmaker had 9 points, Bella Blank had 8 and Karley Kraus had 4.
Lake Fenton
The JV Eagles traveled to Lake Fenton and came home with a 46-20 victory to open the season. Taylor Stoolmaker led in points with 20 then Madison Paige followed with 11 points and Bella Blank with 8.
Lapeer West
Final game of season:   Lapeer West 28, Linden 23

Bridget Adams 8 points, Madison Maxheimer 7, Lauren Klein 5, Melissa Prise 2, Miranda Fowler 1. 
Fenton
The JV girls basketball team beat Fenton 38-33!  The scoring was led by Madison Maxheimer's 15 points and Bridget Adams 11.  Lauren Klein had 3 points, 3 steals, 3 assists.  Also scoring were miranda Fowler (2), Maya Gossett (3), and Melissa Prise (4).  The final two games of the season will be on Wednesday 2/19 at LFHS (5:30) and home vs. Lapeer West (7:00) on 2/20. 
Kearsley
Madison Maxheimer led the Eagles in a 44-48 loss to visiting Kearsley with 16 points and 3 steals.  Maya Gossett had 8 points and Bridget Adams had 7 points and 5 rebounds.  Miranda Fowler played excellent defense while getting 5 points, 5 steals and 5 rebounds.  Lauren Klein also scored 5, and Courtney Cates and Emily Willimas also scored.  Next up:  the Eagles will take on Fenton at home at 7pm. 
Holly
Down 20-17 at halftime, we let Holly outscore us 13-3 in the third quarter. Scoring led by Melissa Prise and Bridget Adams with 8 each, followed by Madison Maxheimer 6 and Courtney Cates with 5.  Also scoring were Emily Williams, Miranda Fowler, and Maya Gossett.


Swartz Creek
Madison Maxheimer had a season high 18 points, in cluding 10/13 from the free throw line, to lead the Eagles in a 32-42 loss to Swartz Creek.  Lauren Klein scored 2 and had 5 steals.  Also scoring were Miranda Fowler (6), Bridget Adams (4) and Melissa Prise (2).  The Ealges will play on Thursday at Holly. 
Lapeer West
Madison Maxheimer had 10 points for the Eagles in a losing battle against Lapeer West 24-40 in the team's third game in as many days.  Bridget Adams had 8 boards and Miranda Fowler had 7 boards.  Also scoring for the Eagles were Maya Gossett, Melissa Prise, Lauren Klein and Sterling DeGayner. 
Kearsley
The JV Eagles won their second game in two nights, beating Kearsley 35-26 on the road.  Sterling DeGayner led the scoring with 13, including 6 in the high-scoring 4th quarter that saw each team score 16 points.  Outstanding defense held the Hornets to only 10 points through the first three quarters.  Bridget Adams and Maya Gossett split 12 points, Madison Maxheimer scored 5, and Courtney Cates mad two crucial technical free throws in the 4th quarter.  Also scoring were Emily Williams, and Miranda Fowler.  The Eagles will play again tonight at home at 7pm. 
Holly
The Linden JV offense was hot on Thursday night as the Eagles beat visiting Holly 52-22.  Bridget Adams let the Eagles with a DOUBLE-DOUBLE, 22 points and 10 rebounds.  Madison Maxheimer chipped in with 12 points, Miranda Fowler 8 rebounds, Maya Gossett 2 points and 8 rebounds, Sterling DeGayner with 6 points, Emily Williams with 4 points, and 2 points each from Lauren Klein, Melissa Prise and Courtney Cates. 
Fenton
JV Girls basketball results.  Fenton 46, Linden 37
Good game until we ran out of gas....actually led after 3 quarters 27-25.
Led by Madison Maxheimer and Sterling DeGayner with 12 points each.
Also scoring were Bridget Adams with 5, and 2 points each from Emily
Williams, Courtney Cates, and Melissa Prise.
Record now 3-5.  Next game Holly home Monday.
 
Flushing
The JV team lost to undefeated Flushing 31-36 on Thursday.  Madison Maxheimer had 9 points and 3 steals, Megan Kenney had 8 points, and Alexis Brandt 5 points, including 3 for 3 at the free throw line.  Also scoring were Melissa Prise (4), Sterling DeGayner (3) and Maya Gossett (2).  Melissa Prise led the rebounding with 5.  That evens the JV record at 3-3, and our next game is at Powers on January 4. 
Swartz Creek
The Eagles lost to Swartz Creek on Tuesday 27-34.  LInden was led by Madison Maxheimers's 8 points, Sterling DeGayner with 7 points and 7 assists, and Courtney Cates with 6 points.  Also scoring were Jordan Holscher (4), Alexis Brandt and Maya Gossett with one each.  Holscher also had 5 steals and 4 assists, and Maya Gossett had 7 rebounds.  The team now moves to 3-2. 
Brandon
JV girls basketball suffered their first loss to a taller and quicker Brandon on Friday , 47-30, despite 12 points from Sterling DeGayner and 8 steals and 9 rebounds by Madison Maxheimer.  Also scoring were Madison Maxheimer (6), Alexis Brandt (5), Courtney Cates (4), Olivia Kirkey (2) and Maya Gossett (1).  Alexis Brandt and Lauren Klein were credited with excellent defensive efforts, as the JV girls fell to 3-1 on the season.
Next game tomorrow (Tuesday) at Swartz Creek at 5:30.
South Lyon
Linden JV Girls 25-10 over South Lyons.  Linden led 12-2 at halftime because of some awesome defense led by Lauren Klein, Melissa Prise, and Madison Maxheimer.  All of our scoring came from Sterling DeGayner (12), Bridget Adams (7) and Maxheimer (6). The Eagles are now 2-0, and our next home game is Tuesday vs Lapeer East. 
Lake Fenton
The JV girls basketball team opened their season with a thrilling 39-37 overtime win over neighboring Lake Fenton. The Eagles methodically built a 31-20 lead after three quarters, but the Devils scrambled back to tie it in regulation at 35-35.However, the Eagles prevailed, thanks to a pair of free throws by Sterling DeGayner and the winning basket from Bridget Adams.DeGayner led the scoring with 14, and Adams had 8.  Also scoring were Madison Maxheimer (7), Melissa Prise (4), and three each from Courtney Cates and Maya Gossett. 
Lapeer West
The JV girls finished their season with a  win against Lapeer West.  They won 43-31.  Sam Greene had 11 points, 8 steals and 4 steals.  Miranda Greene had 7 points, 6 steals and 7 rebounds.  Rhiannon Morse, Izzy Mackenzie and Olivia Kirkey all had 6 points.  Olivia Kirkey also had 8 points.  The girls finished the season 18-2.  Great job girls!! 
Corunna
The JV girls beat Corunna 40-12.  Miranda Greene had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Sam Greene had 11 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.  Rhiannon Morse had 6 points, 4 steals and 5 rebounds.  Izzy Mackenzie had 5 steals and 4 rebounds.  Alexis Brandt had 6 points and 2 assists.  Jordan Holscher had 5 points.  They at Lapeer West on Thursday.
Fenton
The JV girls beat Fenton 41-40.  Miranda Greene had 15 points.  Nellie Mackenzie had 7 points and 2 assists.  Izzy Mackenzie had 8 steals.  Sam Greene had 6 steals.  Alexis Brandt had 4 assists and 6 points.  Megan Kenney and Rhiannon Morse both had 7 rebounds.  The girls play Corruna at home on Tuesday.
Clio
The girls JV team beat Clio 42-39.  Miranda Greene had 14 points, 5 steals and 2 assists.  Megan Kenney had 10 points and 8 rebounds.  Sam Greene had 8 points, 4 steals and 2 assists.  The girls play Fenton at home on Thursday.
Kearsley
The JV girls beat Kearsley 40-16.  Miranda Greene had 13 points and 6 steals.  Olivia Kirkey had 7 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists.  Sam Greene had 6 points and 8 steals.  Isabel Mackenzie had 6 points and 6 steals.
Lake Fenton
 The JV girls beat Lake Fenton 63-43.  Sam Greene had 18 points and 6 steals.  Olivia Kirkey had 15 points.  Miranda Greene had 9 points, 3 assists and 5 steals.  Megan Kenney had 7 rebounds.
Swartz Creek
The JV girls lost to Swartz Creek 37-24.  Sam Greene had 8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists.  Alexis Brandt had 5 points.  Megan Kenney had 7 rebounds. 
Brandon
The JV girls beat Brandon 48-25.  They made a great come back after being tied at the end of 3 quarters. Madison Maxheimer had 14 points.  Megan Kenney had 9 points and 8 rebounds.  Miranda Greene had 8 points and 7 steals.  Nellie Mackenzie had 7 points and 4 rebounds.  Sam Greene had 7 steals and 4 rebounds.  The girls played an awesome 4th quarter!!
Fowlerville
JV girls beat Fowlerville 50-15.  Alexis Brandt had 11 points and 4 steals.  Olivia Kirkey and Izzy Mackenzie both had 10 points.  Megan Kenney had 7 rebounds. 
Lapeer West
The JV girls beat Lapeer West 29-20.  Olivia Kirkey had 12 points and 12 rebounds.  Isabel Mackenzie had 8 points and 5 rebounds.  Nelly Mackenize had 3 assists and Sam Greene had 5 steals. 
Lapeer East
The JV girls beat Lapeer East 63-22.  Isabel Mackenzie and Sam Greene had 18 points.  Miranda Greene had 12 points.  Isabel also had 8 steals.  Rhiannon Morse had 5 assists and 3 steals.  Alexis Brandt played an amazing game also.  The girls play Lapeer West on Thursday and the Middle School. 
Fenton
The JV girls lost a though one to Fenton 43-40.  Miranda Greene had 11 points, 6 steals and 7 rebounds.  Sam Greene had 10 points and 3 rebounds.  Alexis Brandt had 6 points and 2 assists.  The girls played hard from start to finish.
Clio
The girls JV beat Clio 51-31.  Miranda Greene had 20 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals and 3 assists.  Sam Greene had 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.  Izzy Mackenzie had 8 points, 5 steals and 2 assists.  The girls played great!!! 
Kearsley
The girls JV team beat Kearsley 52-11.  Izzy Mackenzie had 12 points and 6 steals.  Miranda Greene had 10 points and 5 steals.  Sam Greene had 8 points , 2 assists and 6 steals.  Megan Kenney had 9 rebounds.  Everyone on the team scored.
Lake Orion
The girls JV BB team continued their winning ways with solid 43-32 victory over visiting Lake Orion on Friday.  Leading the way for the Eagles were Miranda Greene with 11 points, 11 steals and 3 assists; Megan Kenney with 9 points, 9 rebounds; Alexis Brandt with 8 points and Sam Greene with 7 points, 6 steals and 3 assists. 
Creek
The JV girls beat Swartz Creek 49-38.  Miranda Greene had 14 points, 7 steals and 2 assists.  Olivia Kirkey had 13 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 blocks.  Megan Kenney had 8 points.  Sam Greene had 7 points and 6 steals.  Madison Maxheimer had 3 assists.  The girls play on Friday at home against Lake Orion.
Brandon
The JV girls beat Brandon 41-21.  Everyone contributed at least 2 points.  Miranda Greene and Megan Kenney both had 7 points.  Megan also grabbed 10 rebounds and had 4 assists.  Sam and Miranda Greene both had 5 steals.  The girls play Swartz Creek next Tuesday.
Lapeer East
The JV team traveled to Lapeer East for their opening game of the season and came away with a big 49-20 victory to open the season. Leading scorers for the Eagles were Olivia Kirkey 13, Miranda Greene and Megan Kenney both 12.  Rebounds:  Kirkey 8, M. Greene & M Kenney both 6.
